    T18 Bellhousing for a 460

I'm trying to track down a bellhousing for my t18 trans so I can mate it to me new 460.   Ebay hasn't given up much yet.  Any suggestions for other avenues?

    Speaking of Soft Tops

This is my most recent project.  Bikini top / tonneau cover.  It snaps to rails that can be removed to mount the hard top again..

    Running Rough

This weekend I took advantage of the great weather we're having, removed the top and had a nice little drive in the hills. Bronco ran fine through all of this. Monday and Tuesday I drove around town running errands, Bronco still ran fine. This morning I'm driving to work, got about a mile...

    OBA

I was browsing the local JY and found a York 210 A/C compressor in an old IH TravelAll. I thought the idea of some on-board air would be nice, so I grabbed it for a low price. My first question was, where do I mount it? I wanted to keep my A/C, and all the fancy mounting doo-dads by...

    BW 1345 Yoke Removal

I'm trying to get the rear output yoke off my BW 1345, so I can replace the speedometer drive gear. It looks like the nut is 1-1/4", but I can't get a socket around it because the opening around the nut is too narrow. A parts guy said there may be a special Ford tool I need. Any ideas?

    It Can Be Done

In the course of camping last weekend, I manage to pop 2 tires. So the Mrs. was kind enough to untie the purse strings and let me get a full set of tires. My future plans included a 4" lift, 4.10 / 4.56 gears and 35" tires, with 33" as a temporary measure. Well, after a little bit of...

    The Next Round of Upgrades

Brackets, brackets, who's got the brackets? I got a Saginaw PS pump from the local auto yard, came off an 89 e-150 van. But they don't keep the brackets. The local U-Pull It doesn't have any vans and another local JY just pulls the accessories and tosses the brackets. Any idea where to get a...

    Side Mirrors

I'd like to change out the mirrors on my '86. Will other year ranges fit my '86? Like 87-91 or 92-96? I'm looking at this mirror right now: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Ford/F-150/Dorman/Mirror/1988/RB955226.html , which is for an '88.

    Voltmeter add-in?

I did the 3G alt upgrade a few weeks back, and that went great. But the factory ammeter in the dash stops working. Can I make the ammeter work with the 3g alt? Or should I just go with a voltmeter? Which leads me to my next question... If I need to switch to a voltmeter, I'd like to put it...

    Rear Window Stopped Working

I spent the weekend putting in some off-road lights. I did everything as well as I knew, using 10ga wire, separate relays, and weather-proof connections, all on their own circuits, independent of everything else. I finished it last night, and tonight put on some finishing touches. I rolled...

    Two Question

Ok, as a reminder, I've got an '86 with the FI 302, and the T-18 4 speed 1) My speedo doesn't work. A couple years ago the speedo cable started to make some noise, so I replaced it. About 6 months later the needle started jumping all over the place, then finally stopped moving at all. I...

    Updates and Changes

I got a good deal on a Rough Country 12000lb winch, and I mounted it yesterday. Picked up a winch cover, too. With the way I designed my bumper, I had to notch the grill just a little bit for the wires from the solenoid to exit properly. I wish the came out at a 90* downwards rather than...

    Rear Bumper and Steps

Well, they're finally finished. Took a little bit longer since I don't have regular access to a welder. But I managed. With the bikes loaded up for a day in the hills. Closed up with spare and jack mounted. You can also see the roof rack and the utility lights. They are tied into the...

    Fender Cutting and Flares

A couple of my wheel arches are starting to develop rust. I've held it at bay so far by using POR15 and other similar items, but I know the only way to really get rid of rust is to cut it away and replace the metal. Which leads me to my next project: I want to cut away the area around the...

    Roof Rack

Mounted the roof rack toady. I still need to wire the rear utility lights, but everything else is done. I even de-chromed all the trim (grill bezels, window trim, mirrors, door handles, etc.) and painted them flat black. It looks pretty mean now. The rock sliders and rear bumper are my next...

    Mounting to the Fiberglass Top

I'm getting to put my roof rack on the Bronco, but before I start drilling holes, I wanted to touch base with you folks. Any thing I should be aware of before drilling through the roof? I've got 4 3x2 metal plates with 2 1/4" holes in each plate. 8 1/4" bolts total, with a matching 3x2" plate...

    Custom Bumper

Well, after sitting down and sketching out my ideas for new bumpers, I struck the motherlode. My dad and uncle both had piles of metal that they wanted to get rid of, so I scavenged out the pieces I wanted and set to work with the welder. Here are my results: I still need to attach...

    Rear Storage

I got tired of using egg crates and ammo boxes to organize stuff in the back of my Bronco. I saw a DIY project on TV that made a storage unit for the back of the full size pickup, so I decided that would be a good start for my Bronco. Here's the finished project, covered in diamond tread...

    New Projects

My father is in the process of shutting down his shop, so while I still have access to a nice garage and welder I'm getting some work done. Currently, I'm designing custom front and rear bumpers. I don't have winch yet, but it looks like nearly all of them use a 10x4.5" mounting bolt pattern...

    Valve Cover Gaskets

I've decided to finally address an oil leak I've got. I thought it was coming from the rear main seal, but a mechanic put it on a lift and said that's not it, it's coming from one of the valve cover gaskets. On the 5.0 EFI, do I have to remove the intake manifold to get access to the valve...
