This is my most recent project.  Bikini top / tonneau cover.  It snaps to rails that can be removed to mount the hard top again..

How KEWL is that..!!

Having  worked with boats, (bimini tops) I've always thought it would be pretty easy to build 4x4 tops to your liking.

Alum. tubing & fabric of choice, & there it is... >:D< <'>

Yeah, the hardest part was sewing the cover.  I stole my wifes'  sewing machine, built a big ass table in the garage and went to town.  It took me 4 or 5 days to put in all the seams, bit by bit.  Everything else was pretty easy.

Yup, I took an 5'x8' sheet and trace a pattern from the original cardboard sides.  I also used some to make a new tailgate access door, a permenent storage bin behing the wheel well, and a protective cover on the lip of the tail gate.
