yes seabronc, part #4 is what I meant. it's the rubber that's attached to the back of the shell that the window slides into. it looks like parts #7 & 8 would just drop into the tail gate without disassembly, correct?

the seal in there now is dry rotted and starting to leak. is this a one piece seal or is it comprised of several pieces? also, what is involved with replacing the seals on top of the tail gate where the window goes up and down. thanks.

just noticed that there is a seperation in the metal on the tailgate at the very top right side on the edge. no rust, just a 3" long opening about 1/16" wide. common problem? any fixes? thanks.

chasing the threads with a 6mm tap worked like a champ. new screw had a 10mm head compared to the original 8mm but there were no clearance problem, went right back in. the replacement metal door handle is a Dorman part.
