Welcome Tally,

You are looking for 23 year old seats.....there are none in good shape, unless they are already in a good restored Bronco.

If you don't want to use something else, you have to get your original seats reupholstered, or buy something new.

Try looking on Craigslist for services/trades.....I found a great retired upholsterer, ( an expert on car restoration) He works cheep, and is only 1/4 mile away. Does great wook too. I'm getting both front seats in The Beast done for $500.00!

Good Luck

tally,

i feel your pain.

i've got an '86 and the drivers captains seat back rest is stuck in the mid position.

the adjustment lever is missing and even trying to use vise grips won't let you change the angle of the back rest. something in the internal linkage / mechanism is bound up and i have no idea how to get in there to fix it.

i've learned to live with it, but some adjustment would be nice. other than that the seats are in great shape.

like you, i've looked for replacement captains seats or close to stock bucket seats without any luck...

ETA: i remember back about two years ago i found some seats closely resembling the bronco seats on the internet. cost was about $700 or so for the set. the picture showed them installed with the stock console in the middle.

if i ever run across them again, i will post. damned CRS...
