I just bought a 93 Bronco and it needs some help. It originally had the dark blue carpet with tan seats and trim, but i'm going to put black carpet back into it. The interior trim pieces arent broken but just faded and ugly. Any ideas on how to paint them? Ive heard SEM makes a good dye?

I might take some pictures tomorrow and post them up to get some more advice on the truck. I'll formally introduce myself then too.

Yes, you can easily restore the plastic trim panels with one the rattle can trim paints from SEM or others. There may be a topic or two from members that have done this , may take a bit of searching. Someone repainted the center console, and it came out great (can't recall the name) JSM84

As long as you do a good job getting the pieces prepaired paint will be the best way to go. Just get them clean and sand them down a little to prep the surface and go from there!! I have done this on several cars and it comes out great!!

stang has it right, take your time to clean and prep. i have seen people rush this job just to go back and redo it because they arent happy. most of the tuners i know use krylon, its fantastic. just make sure you clean and sand and clean and sand (you get the point...). it will be fantastic. just remember...

TAKE YOUR TIME

As you can see there is a lot of work to do. The rear bumper and tailgate i already took off, they were trashed. Under the hood needs lots of cleaning and rebuilding, but it does run.

So does anyone have a good way to match color without trial and error? I need to paint my interior door panels also, but am not sure what color to get so that it will match the original.
