    D70U Wheel Bearing Specs

I have a Dana 70U for a rear axle on my 68 Bronco. It off a 1989 F350 I believe. I'm going to do the disc conversion but need the wheel bearing torque specs if anyone has it available to them. Thanks!

    New Bronco Picts

Took some photos of the rig. She's sittin at 98" wheel base, 84" wide with the 1 ton axles and narrow 9" wheels. She rides real smooth with those SSR's and the dynabeads inside to ballance. Its weird being able to drive down the road again. She's a bit tall so I might ditch the 2" body lift...

    Raised & Wrapped Rear Tank

When I stretched the rear axle back 4" I decieded to move the crossmember back 4" as well to help clear the massive D70. I was going to move the tank back and plate the bottom but got a crazy idea. I ended up cutting a hole in the bed, added a 3/16" bent plate thats welded on top of the new...

FYI - Yukon Axles and Replacing u-joints

This is a FYI to help if you buy these... I got the new Yukon axles for my front D60. I noticed these shafts have raised humps on the ears of the axle  . (see photos) When pressing the u-joint out with sockets (like normal) the axle will tilt to one side causing the u-joint to also...

Got my 3/8" Thick Diff Covers!

Ahhhh yeah, I got my 3/8" thick diff covers from http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/index.php Click on diff protection if you want to see info on them or view the site. They have all kinds of beefy products! These covers are thick enough to mount ram steering off of and no need for a...

ATOR Drive Flanges and 35 Spline axles photos

I got the 35 spline ATOR drive flange kit sEE below for photos... I needed these due to running 9" wheels with 4.5" BS to help bring the tires back under the Bronco due to running a full width HPD60. My width is 1" under 7' so I'm happy but if I went any wider on the wheels I wouldn't fit down...

Drive Flange Caps for Manual Hubs

With my D60 conversion I went with 9" wheels with 4"BS to reduce some width. The hubs stickout from wheel by 1" and will hit rocks. The only way to fix this is to go with a drive flange kit which will bring it in flush with the wheel. I'd like to just find a cap and use my manual hub until I...

Cage Off-Road Extended Arms, Coils, Weld on Bracket

Just received my Cage Off Road extended Radius Arms, 5.5" coils and their weld on bracket. Here's a few photos for now. Who knows when I'll get the time to install this stuff but when I do I'll take photos along the way with a write-up. Since I'm changing to a D60 front axle I decided to use...

Picked up my wheels at Trail Ready yesterday

So these 16.5" wheels I'm gunna run on my D60's don't have an inner bead like a 15" rim has. Only air pressure holds the tire on the rim. So since I had a set I drove up to Trail Ready and dropped them off to be beadlocked. All I can say is nice work!

HPD60 Install with new Cage Offroad axle brackets

I'm in the process of installing a HPD60 in my 68 Bronco. Since I got a newer style D60, the pumkin is pushed over towwards the driverside further than say a 78 D60 which is more desireable for the EB. There is only 3" of room to install axle wedges to the tube. I need at least 4" to make them...

    Boatside Rockers

I like my rock skis but am leaning towards this... Anyone else done it? Need more photos. I plan on cutting above the rockers where the weatherstripping attaches. This will cut out the rockers, door sill and the bottom of both F&R fenders. I'll cut inwards at a 45* angle but even with a...

    NP435/D20

Here's photos of my 435/D20 out of my 74. The truck came this way and I'm hopeing someone can identify the adapter I have? I camea cross a few other discussions on this setup. So far everyone has mixed assumptions of whats needed to accomplish this combo. Maybe someone here knows...? My 68...

    Shorten front Driveline myself

I know it shouldn't be done but doesn't seem harmfull for a front shaft that doen't get ballanced anyway. Or at least mine never are. Here's my situation: I need to shorten my front shaft 1" after adding a longer slip yoke. I grinded off the weld on the tube (slip yoke end). I pulled the...

    New Spicer OEM style u-joints

Is it worth the extra $20 for these new style non-greasable Spicer u-joints? The reason why I say OEM is it looks close to OEM looks. No zerk, round center body thats concaved inwards. Its like looking at a 5-297X axle u-joint VS. 5-760X. Side by side you can see the casting in the new joint...

    Installed Tom Woods Offset U-joint!!!

With the flex in the front end of my 68 Bronco(wristed radius arm), I decided to try Tom Woods new offset U-joint http://www.4xshaft.com/ Take a look at the site for additional information. When I lifted my Bronco from 3.5" to 4.5" (front only) I noticed the front CV style driveline was...

    Christmas Heep Story for ya!

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS 'Twas the night before Christmas, And all through the trails, Every Jeep was stranded, Their progress like snails. They had no shovels, No rope and no winch, No CB, no cell-phone, To get out of their pinch. When out from a mud pit, There arose such a clatter...

Anyone Run these tires on road and trails?

Was thinking of getting either Irok Radials or Pro Comp X-Terrains. Anyone out there using either? Want a tire that will do well off road but also be quiet on road. I ran TSL Radials before and they worked well, very quite and had great traction once siped but are spendy. Procomp is doing the...
