Hope some of you guys might have some input for me. I have a 93 w 6"lift, 35" tires. Twice, while out off-roading, the transmission just starts to puke out the tranny fluid. It looks like it is coming out the front seal. The last time (last weekend), the fluid actually caught on fire but luckily we were able to get it out before it did any damage. I was at about a 45degree incline in rough terrain.
We backed the truck down, let it cool off, put new fluid in it, and it seems to work fine. I was able to drive it home (about 200 miles) and it didnt slip or even drip one drop of fluid.
It has a stock tranny cooler on it. I have been thinking about adding another or bigger cooler, plus a temperature gage.
The tranny was said to have been rebuilt, prior to my purchase, so I dont really want to have it rebuilt if I dont have too.
Has anyone else had this problem or have recommendations?
