Just took out some transmission fluid to get it to proper level on dip stick.

But now it’s slipping when cold start. And sometimes I’ll hit the gas and It will “catch” then accelerate so fast like launching forward I can’t even stop it! After a bit of time it runs fine.

Should I refill to above the hash marks again bc it was running better then.

Well, sure sounds like it wouldn't hurt to try it.

Overfill on those old transmissions is not as bad as on the newer stuff. It is worth a shot.

Who knows, maybe someone put the wrong dipstick in along the way, or changed pans. so it is possible.

Yo

The AOD seals may be hard.
It take awhile longer to soften up the seals.
It wouldn't hurt to change out the fluid and filter.
Some members recommended Royal Purple Transmission Fluid
