Hey fellas!

Just finished degreasing that dirty old engine compartment... Wow that thing was neglected! But it's in good hands now!

I noticed that the exhaust manifolds were cracked... Makes a great loud clicking sound when I drive down the street but I'd rather hear just exhaust... I'm also assuming that it's making the engine run without enough back pressure.

So...

If I'm going to purchase an aftermarket exhaust system with headers and all do I need to tune the engine after they are installed?

Thanks for the help...

you don't really need a tune up just for that change it wont cause enough of a changeto cause harm but a tune up is always a good idea.

If you are going to put headers on your engine. Check the distance from your header to your starter. If it is close to the starter. Wrap the header where it comes close to your starter. If you don,t ,it can cause your starter to over heat and the starter will burn up. .
