I just got my hands on a hand me down 66 bronco. Its got a 170 motor in it and the things not firing. i put new wires, button points and cap also new coil. There was no wiring harness in the truck so i'm having to jump the relay to turn the motor over

any input would be great since i'm new to the bronco family thanks

WOW...!

That's a tough one....but the wiring thing bothers me. You need 6 volts to the + side of the coil. (meaning 12V thru a resistor) AND.., some way to shut it off if it does start...! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Actually, if you could be a bit more specific as to what's there.

And it's good it cranked over a bit W/O runn'n... so a little oil pres. was built up.

These are bullet-proof engines & will serve you well, if set-up properly.
