hello,
i own a 79 ford bronco, and i have the original limited slip rear end that came in it from the factory. i live up in michigan, and i'm a big dunes guy. i was wondering, what would be better for me up here? the axle i have, or a locker? i was thinking about a locker for a long time, till i got out my identification code book and found i had a limited slip rear end. i'm really leaning toward keeping the limited slip cause i'm a poor college kid right now. i have ordered a 4in skyjacker lift kit, and will be looking for tires shortly. however, like i said money is an issue being in college, and i think i'm leaning toward my limited slip, but i'm just wondering what would be better for what i'm doing. saving the 500 bucks on a locker and putting that toward bfg all terrains will help big time. do limited slip axles hold their own in moderate wheeling? i'm not a ******** wheeling, and seeing as my bronco is all original, i don't want to beat it up. i just want to get some big tires and a 460, and make it pretty kicking for cruising the dunes. thanks ford brothers! any info would help. peace
