I don't meant to be picky but throw a period or two in there and drop some of the likes

It makes it really hard to break up your thoughts.
What kind of off-roading are you planing on doing? and what size tires do you plan to run? If you are adding a lift and running bigger tires and towing something you will definitely have to redo you axle gearing front and rear. i'm going to take a wild guess and say your truck has a 302 in it right? There is a lot that goes into a lifted vehicle, a lot of hidden costs. If you go with a 6" lift and start running 36" tires and your towing 6 bikes suddenly your brakes don't stop the truck and trailer very fast. Tall lifts on a TTB axle setup, you have to be careful about front end alignment.
Id say no matter what lift kit you end up with don't expect to pay anything less than $1500. $500 for a lift which may or may not include shocks. If you have dual shock up front add some more to the total. Brake lines, steering drop pitman arm(if not included). TTB and radius drop brackets(if not included in the kit). Re-gear. tires/rims, brake upgrade, steering damper...
Yes, if you have the tires you can get away with $500 for a lift but make sure you set aside a little more money for other upgrades that will make your truck safer and last longer.
