Have done a bunch of floor pans on lots of stuff think I have a way that works pretty good for me.

1. Check your new pan for fit
2. Next layout your new pan and measure about 1” larger than the floor you’re replacing
3. Cut your new pan and check for fit ensure you have an inch (min) of excess and mark the cut line one inch from the edge
4. Tack the new pan in place
5. Cut through both pans (the new, and original) with a cutoff wheel
6. Use magnets an to hold the new pan in place tack the corners
7. Put a damp towel in the middle of the pan to absorb some heat, and start welding it up, short runs about an inch maybe a little more then the opposite side.

Grind it flush if you want or leave it. Buff it clean and coat it with some frame paint underneath an a good rust prevention both sides

let me know if you have questions
