I went trough 3 electric fuel pumps in 5 months with the same symptoms. Make sure your fuel pump is run through a relay and a breaker to ensure a steady electric flow. My 302 would run like a champ then die....
I could pull start it once sometimes twice but it would not run after that. New...
Hi All,
I have asked and received a lot of good information over the last few years, Thanks!
I have a thought that might actually help others on their builds. When we started 4 years ago one of the first things we added to our 1970 wagon was replace and relocate our fuse box. The original...
After a little more research and a beer or three... Turns out the problem was two problems. She finally quit starting. I shot some carb cleaner in the carb and she fired right up. Replaced all filters and electric fuel pump. Then started the re-timing process. Got it timed perfect and she...
Looks like you have made a lot of progress. The suspensin looks good. I was told the average rebuild takes about three years depending on cash flow and how much you do yourself. It ws tree yers before we could drive around in primer and another 6 months before it was 99% complete. I'm...
Last picture I could upload was a primer shot of our 1970. Since then we, my 10 year old son and father in law decided to paint her original Ford geen. She's a perfect 15 footer:)
The picture worked! More to come.
Thank you all for your help over the last 4 years with the questions we have had.

Hi All,
It's been a while since my last visit. Our 1970 is 90% done and it seems all work has stopped. All we do now is drive the hell out of it and talk about finishing her......
Over the last Three years everyone has been very helpful with all of my questions. Thanks!
We painted the body...
I have completed a 21/2 yr rebuild on a 1970 Bronco. Now I would like to find a club or good trails to go play. In the old days I had a Chev Big 10 4x4 and learned it's no fun alone. We have had her street legal for a couple of months and haven't had a chance to see how she does off road...
Turns out after re-seating the front bearings the steering inproved 100%. I can not believe the difference in the steering! It drives sooooo goooooooood my wife took off for a couple hours. Love burning that fossil fuel.
Thank you all for the suggestions and help!
Hey STILKIKN you still out there??? After looking over my check list and comparing to yours the wheel bearing adjustment jumps out. Is there a correct torque? I basically tightened bearing nut untill the tire rotation had good resistance and backed off two notches before locking in with the...
Thanks STILKIKN! I have a free afternoon and will take your list and the previous pictures provided and see where the problem lies.
Thank you everyone for your help. When I have an answer I will pass it on.
I finally got the old girl out for a road trip. Headed out to pick up my 9 yr son at school. He saw the truck , threw his arms in the air a yelled ALRIGHT! Cracked me up. Thought we should take the long way home on back roads since the exhust is hanging with coat hangers and the inspection...
