Howdy Everyone,

I am looking at purchasing a 1976 EB and was curious about what axle gear ratios it might have. Did some searching and wasn't really able to find an answer to my question. The only information I have on it is that it has a 302 engine, 3 speed on the tree auto, power brakes, discs in front, drums in the rear, dana 20 tcase, and the rear axle has a stock posit traction unit. I hope thats enough information to figure it out.

Thanks

Chris

assuming that the gears have not been changed, 76's came with a standard ratio of 3.50:1, optional 4.11:1. there is a tag on the differential with a code number one it. another way is to jack up the wheels on level ground of course, block the front wheel, disconnect the shaft, rotate the wheel one time and count how many revolutions the pinion yoke makes. mark a chalk line on yoke to count. hope this helps a little.
