94 bronco, how would I go about getting a key for the tailgate to operate the rear window ? I only have a ignition key. It would be nice at time to walk up an roll the window down

Well, I guess the short answer would be to call a locksmith.94 bronco, how would I go about getting a key for the tailgate to operate the rear window ? I only have a ignition key. It would be nice at time to walk up an roll the window down
Locksmith or new lock B)Well, I guess the short answer would be to call a locksmith.
*old fart story alert*-- Once when putting in a suspension lift on one of my 78/79's we were using a friends garage about 45 min from my place. We finished it on the second day but I hadn't thought we'd get that far so I didn't even bring my keys with me & it would have been a better than 90min round trip to get them. While we were contemplating our delemma a friend of a friend showed up & lo & behold he just happend to be a locksmith. He had a number of Ford, GM & Mopar blanks on him and while we watched he took a Ford blank and wiggled it in the ignition cylinder. Took it out and looked at where the scratches were and started in on it with a small hand file. After doing this two or three more times he put it in and damn if it didn't turn in the cylinder and fire the truck. It took this guy less than 15 minutes to file a key from a blank by doing nothing more then jiggling it in the cylinder and looking at the scratch pattern. I went out a week later and had an alarm installed.
Yeah, but when you DO start it after all that cranking there's so much fuel in the exhaust the muffler it winds up looking like a beer can with a firecracker in it <grin> but the BANG usually gets people's attention.Locksmith or new lock B)
My ignition system has a disable on it and won't start unless you can figure how I rigged it. Crank all you want, it won't start/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> , but then there is also the tow truck or flat bed to contend with :-& . I guess nothing is theft proof
