I bought a 1968 Bronco with a 351 . Now ive got almost everything in the engine exept the radiator. I barley have any money and dont want to spend 500$ on the aluminum one. Will the stock 3 core cool off the engine very well?
Yes, I ran mine for years with no problems. If she heats up the old 3 core radiator might need to be boiled out. There are also many other things that can cause over ehating problems but first give it a try and see how she runs! Let me know how it goes...
A stock 3 core should do just fine as long as you use a shroud between it and the fan. You might also go to someplace like Autozone and for about $35.00 pick up a transmission oil cooler to add infront of the radiator. Cooling the transmission fluid this way cuts the heat way down and if that isn't enough add an engine oil cooler.
