How is it tied into the starting or not starting system. I did a search but didn’t locate anything on here. I have NoCheck engine light in dash with key on and obd1 reader gets no information

Do you have a chipped key? Or do you have a remote?
93 shouldn't be a pats system. That is a picture of an add on. If you think it is causing issues just unplug the connectors.

No chip and no remotes but if you unplug it truck doesn’t start, no spin, nothing. Did that when I first got it😎. Why can’t I get any codes? Guess I’ll go today & start seeing if I can remove it? And pull the inner fender and take a look at the PCM.

This truck NEVER let me down when it was my daily, I have no instrument dash, had a light come (alt) on one night coming home from shooting photos at rodeo Houston. About 40-50 miles from home, she made it all the way into her parking spot before the battery gave out. Even this she did at home, in the redheads parking spot but and when the 3rd tooth finally went on the ring gear she still made it home!!

You can't get any codes because every time the battery goes dead the codes are erased.
