ok i got a 93 5.8 e4od. and i got it checked out and the mech said ill have to have it rebuilt soon. he was telling me how much it would cost to do the job and he said between 1600 and 3000 grand. i said "why the huge gap?" he replied "it depends how you want it built, oem condition or we can put a shift kit in it, beef it up."
heres my question. what does a shift kit consisit of and is it a good idea to have him or whoever put one in? i have looked on ebay for the and there only like 50 bucks. but they all come in a thin box or plastic bag. ive never actually seen one in person. is that what they come in? and if they only cost 50 buck how come it'll cost me damn near 3 grand to have it put in? can anyone help me out. i dont want to get screwed.
