I am in the process of trouble shooting the speed control issue and wanted to get some feedback from the forum.

The recall was done by myself. I have gone down this list and the only issue I could see was the less than 1 ohm with the "off depressed"(1.8). Everything else checked out. Not sure if that is the speed control button or what.

1.8 ohms could be caused by corroded connector terminals or what Ford describes as terminal back-out, etc.

Hey Al,
I have a question: does the airbag module need to be hooked up for the speed control to work?

If you replaced any break light bulbs with LED replacements then the cruise wont work. It need the resistance in the standard bulbs.

An update:
> All the fuses are good.
> Clock spring is good
> Horn and airbag work.
> Continuity to the servo is good.
> Speedometer/odometer work.
> No abs lights

I *think* I'm running out of electrical options and the issue might be mechanical. Perhaps the speed module itself? I've checked the cable wheel, it turns. But this is a 27 yr old vehicle and perhaps it's toast? Thoughts.

Yo,
Concentrate on the Servo. See this troubleshooting version in 96 Bronco Workshop Manual @ http://www.diesel-dave.com/vehic/manual/stj/stja3005.htm#a

Yo G,
And right below the resistance tests, see info about rotating the steering wheel...
Quick question Al: where is G200. I'm also looking into the s216 (splice, switch?). Thank you sir.

Yo G,
G200 pic in lower side of passenger side plastic kick panel with green *****.
inertia_switch_87-96.jpg

Pic is titled, "1356 Electric Shift Control Module Location pic; as Steve3 pointed-out, "...The module I MIS-labelled as "Airbag" is actually the Wiper Control Module (WCM). The Airbag Diagnostic Module (ADM) is light blue, wrapped in black foam, above the gas pedal..." Fireguy50 pointed out the error.
