rust above door

I have a spot right above my doors on each side that is rusted pretty bad. Overall the truck is not rusted that bad, these spots are all the way through in places. My question is this. It's a very tricky spot being at the end of the rain guard strip at the rear of the door. Is there something that I can rub over the spot to fill it until I can get it professionally fixed? I know nothing about bondo, etc... It is a small hole about the size of a pencil head and almost appears to be a place where the weld for the rain guard has rusted and let go. It is the shape of a crack. Thanks for the help.

That is the subject of a service bulletin. If you want to temporarily stop any leak from it, put a dab of clear silicone in the hole.
