Picture This!!

I got a 73 frame, a trac-lock 9", a D44; all blasted and painted. I have a Ranger tub (rough) with no top and a few holes in the floor. Also have a refurbished 302 in the box (not crate) waiting to be put together!!! S_bolt and I have discussed various lifts, pros & cons. I have e-mailed Duff about their upcoming 4 link and I got to thinking about the streched 70 that PDX has???

Now I'm starting to see a streched 73 Ranger, with extended radius arms and a 4 link rear end!!!

What's everyone's thoughts about that ride???

I think stretched would look pretty cool. ****, then you could have a back seat that could hold someone other than a midget. Stretch it 8" and if you got really overachieving, widen it a couple of inches and get full width axles. More stability!!

then wouldnt he basicly have a fullsize?? hay i say just extend it like 8" right behind the doors and keep the width the same.. ive kinda wanted to but never wanted to shut down my wheeler for that long of a time.. if you do take lots of pics on how you do it.

....you ever see any1 ever widen and stretch a eb?? so say it was the size of a 78/79??

Not in person, but I have seen pictures of one. There was one running around Ft. Collins, CO back when I was in college and I saw pictures of it next to a 79. Almost the same size and whom ever did it, they did a damn nice job. It looked like it rolled off the showroom floor like that. The specs that I can remember is that they used a 78/79 frame and drive train and basically cut an EB body in quarters and set it on a rolling chasis. Added 7 or 8 inches behind the door posts and a few inches right down the middle of it. It really did look good.

haha, i think i saw that streched and widened bronco here in fort collins, co...its a great lookin rig if were both talking about the same one!
