oil sprayed out the grill. looked like a massacre on garage door

1995 Ford Bronco 5.8. wouldn't turn over. put gas realized oil is low and put oil number one spark plug Had oil on it replaced it truck started my boyfriend went to close the hood, now the hood is stuck wont open or close. moved my truck to the driveway And as i pulled in realized it was spraying oil all over the garage door. my boyfriend so where's he can fix it. now I have a dent in the middle of my hood and no grill. and I haven't even started to look at why the oil is spraying. help me before I **** him. :/

Hi Lov..,

Best guess is.., there may be an "oil cooler" mounted in front of the radiator, behind the grill. The hose to the cooler may have come off or split.

Then there's the power steering hoses. Cut or split.., they can shoot some serious oil..!!

The hinges on the hood need to be lubed from time to time.

Regarding your grill..., have no clue as to where it went... :unsure:

Now.., what exactly does "stuck" mean as to your hood..? 

You said... "it won't open or shut"..!   & "dent in the middle"..!

Does this mean it was kinked from forcing it up..?  (i.e. no longer held with the latch & safety latch.)

There's hinges & assist springs back in there.  Something could be broken or jammed with something. (best guess)

Hood Latch Control Handle and Cable Removal
  1. From inside vehicle, open hood (16612). If cable is broken, reach through radiator grille (8200) and behind hood latch (16700) to pull on latch lever.
  1. Remove two screws securing hood latch to radiator support assembly and take off hood latch assembly with attached cable.
  1. Unhook hood latch cable from stud on hood latch lever.
  1. Pry out hood latch cable grommet from notch in hood latch.
  1. Inside vehicle, remove left-hand cowl side trim panel (02344).
  1. Remove two screws securing hood latch control handle and cable (16916).
  1. With help of assistant to route cable in engine compartment, remove hood latch control handle and cable from inside cab.
 Installation
  1. Follow removal procedures in reverse order. Tighten cable and handle assembly screws to 3-4 Nm (27-35 lb-in). Adjust hood latch as described in this section and tighten screws to 22-34 Nm (16-25 lb-ft).

I fixed it BY MYSELF;) New trans cooler and as for the hood I took ff the latch assembly and put it back on. Theres still a dent! My grill is back on temporarily til i can afford a new one. Thanks for your help. Im happy again! See 1372960878806.jpg
