no fire

i got a 78 bronco with 400v8 at first cold start up it fires up good and runs great. if you shut if off after warm up it will fire up right away but if you shut it off and let it set 5-10 min it wont start and has no fire. i have replaced coil and the ignition module "brainbox" on the fender and it still does it. the coil is not fireing to the distributor. any suggestions?

is the pickup coil in the distributor? can u replace that w/o replacing the whole dist?
