ok im in a rut here my 85 bronco has a 351w c6 trans and well the engine has god knows how many miles leakes oil from every place possible a buddy of mine thats a mechanic says it sounds like there is a burnt valve or 2 and its just is old shoud i try and fix this oe or replace it idk mom says sell it but i dont want to cuz ive allways wanted one and dad has allways said "we cant get you insured in one" well i proved him wrong when i got this one mines is my fave body style of bronco so what yall think and i got to some how i get form the panhandle of texas all the way down to houston fun

yea but i dont know if i want to trust myself i havent rebuilt an engine yet but then angin im gonna be goin to uti so i geuss i could takeit in when i get to my power and performce class

Take alot of pictures and number the parts you take off. Keep all hardware together and organized and buy a rebuild book. Its the only way you're gonna learn.

you need a valve spring compressor, its like a big c-clamp combined with vise grips. Get a book about engine rebuilds, it'll save you alot of hassle. Label everything and stay organized. NO EXTRA PARTS!!!!

oh come on but extra parts are what makes it fun you dont know what they are from and it makes you wonder lol well i will go buy a book bout buildin a ford engine and then my only problem that yall cant help me with i gotta find out where im gonna build it...i live in an apartment complex on the 3rd floor...i guessd lean the back seat forward and do it back there lol

i think thats really the only thing wrong with it itll start up and run but it runs ruff and it leaks oil from every where so yea i guess buy gasket kit and new valves and springs and so on

Not unless your boring the cylinders out. Too bad you didn't have a place to rebuild the engine.

i know but the engine will start right up if the battery is not dead and i still to do some ajustin on the carb but i my buddy told me that it sounds as if there is a burnt valve
