Im having a problem with my 88 B2 fuel pump. Recently replaced inirtia switch. It's now acting the same way. Since I had to get a used one I thought it was the same problem. I jumped the connector...nothing. have power to switch but when I jump it I have no power. Ran a new wire to fuel pump have power to connector, but when I plug it in, nothing. Anybody got any ideas.

Bad fuel pump?

Or how do you know the fuel pump is good?

Maybe a bad ground coming from the pump?

Hey Joey, welcome to the zone!
Sounds like a bad connection between the fuse panel and the inertia switch.
Try plugging it all in and test for power at any connections you can find between the fuel pump fuse and the switch.
Id try checking the relay first.
Lots of the time the circuit an carry voltage when the load (pump) is unplugged, but cant when there is a load on the circuit.
Ill see if I can find a schematic and offer you some test points.
Good luck.
Cheers
