Figured it would be great for this site to have a thread specifically for everyone's Bronco's and the details of each rig.

Here's mine:
1978 Custom
460 CI .030 E-brock 750
Manual and electric F-pumps
Dual batteries with isolator
Saginaw steering pump
Chromolly front shafts
4.10 gears + lockrite in fron D44
4.11 gears + spool in rear 9"
4" superlift with trimmed fenders
37" Coopers on 17" pro comp wheels
Custom center console
12,000lb Badlands winch
Custom square tube bumpers

@miesk5 , can you make this a stickie?

g really good and nice to see you have a warm place to work on. Seems like everyone is a little different and wanting to go faster, but I think I ,ll see if I can add wings to mine and fly over the big rocks. For a smoother ride. haha, but I allso alot of these 78-79 bronco,s are the same in one area. They have the YELLOW PLASTIC OVER THE REAR WINDOW. Why didn,t they match it with the interior?

Look at the back of your hood at the center--that,s how you can tell the difference between a truck hood ( I call mine a truck) and a bronco. The bronco has that piece that comes down and meets the other part on the firewall. Some say its to stablize the hood. I don,t know. I haven,t seen any truck hoods caved in yet. You all are doing a good job on your bronco,s.

That's impressive. I liked what I saw before even reading the stats and what you did, after reading what you did, wow, I'd love to see that one in person.

Thanks, I love these Broncos, hoping for something comfortable and reliably to drive. (Didn't need the supercharger...but, why not?)
My boys bought me this one for me from a guy who went way too deep for his skillset. (I had one when they were young and we were all sad to see her go.)
Thanks again for your kind words.
Cheers

I also found out to start in order. Like the front brakes last., Because after sitting around awhile. The cups in the calipers like to stick.

All nice looking rides, but I can just hear it. When you take it through brush and stop later and get out.See the scratches down the side and wonder why-did I do that? haha Mine might not be very high off the ground and won,t need to be. To make it past where you all will be able to go and I,ll get their fast. Now guys. I,m thinkin ahead of you and when it warms up. I,ll send some pictures and show you why.haha I think you,ll like it too.

For sure, Ive had a few over the years, 79 is my favorite, although 96 is a close second.
Not as rugged, but more creature comforts!
Only reason I don,t care for anything past 79 is the electronic. Seems like people have alot of problems with it. No mater what make. I like things more easy to work on. Less junk on and around the motor. I,d like to take a 7879 . Take the 4 wheel drive out. Put a six inder the hood. ,posi in the back and lower it about 3 inches. To get in and out easier.

I just replaced both calipers and I just got done removeing part of the brake line going to the rear axle. It sprung a leak.
Truck sat for 10 years, so there are a lot of things to change out.
I tried to start it up and run it once a month, but I really never actually drove it around, so a lot of things dried up or rusted.

What I started doing is useing 100% gas. After I took some ethanol gas . That sat for about 2 weeks and looked atit in a clear pop bottle. Will surprise you. Let the bottle set for a few minutes and look at it settle in the bottom. Then tilt the bottle slowly. It looks like tar. It ruins anything it goes into. I started use real gas--even drive 20 miles out of the way. Then when I go to park it for awhile. I,ll unhook the gas line from the fuel pump. Start the vehicle and run it all out. , I started replacing any and all parts with wear on them and slack. Like yokes, universal joints, bushings fron the front to the back. Ordering parts like all rubber--if I am planning on painting it later on. You wouldn,t believe what wears out. Until you start looking and buying parts.Including bearings, seals brake parts--good luck and be careful.

This is my parts truck, but, it might get fixed after frankenbronco is done. (I cant stand to see a gen2 go for parts (its a 79 as well)
I also have an 85 (sorry no picts) its 2 tone grey with a 351W H.O. Auto, the engine is seized (I bought it for the chassis before I decided to shorten the 2015 f150 chassis)
I have a spare engine for it…so this may never end!
