ISO Tailagte Latch

Gotta 79 Bronco and the Tailgate latches are toast. Gate wouldn't close all the way so window wouldn't go up. Got lucky and found a couple at the wrecker but one is cracked. Put it all together and got the window up but need to replace the cracked one so I won't be scared everytime I open the thing that it won't close again.

Driver side latch needed. Tried Bronco Graveyard and the Rancho Cordova wreckers but no luck. Any help appreciated. Thanks,

my 79 bronco has a cheapo shed latch thing bolted to the side to keep my tailgatge up the previous owner engineered. i got the same problem my right one is all screwed up and nothing latches and the lock doesnt work but havent spent much time on the part of the project yet. there some information somewhere on making other year tailgates fit these so maybe you could get some off a newer truck....just an idea. im lucky enough theres a 78 in the local junkyard im gonna get its tailgate guts when i get some time.
