There should be a drain plug on it. Check the back and bottom.

What front end do you have? (Dana 44, etc. etc.)

You will need to get a fluid pump to suction out the old gear oil thru the fill plug.

I wouldn't recommend draining it through the bottom bolts because if something gets stuck in the gasket you will not be able to get it to seal and it will always leak.

If you have the Dana 60 then all you need to do is pull the front cover off then replace the gasket.

If you have the Dana 44 or 50 then You are probably going to need the pump justshootme84 is talking about.

if it's a stock F150 or Bronco you have the Dana44 TTB. F250 has the Dana 50 TTB 85.5-98 F350's have the solid Dana 60. But if you don't have a front bolt on cover and has a removeable 3rd member it's a TTB.

TXQH is right. The straight axle Dana's will have the number stamped in the webbing around the center-section. The D44 and D50 are twin i-beam or TTB, and only have one fill plug. Trust me on the TTB, it is much easier to get a cheap pump from the parts store, it comes in handy for draining the rear axle and t-case, too. If you have the Ford 8.8" rearend, you can take the cover plate off of the back, but then you need a new gasket.
