Everything i'm finding for my 1988 bronco fullsize, (even if f-series truck, etc) shows a heater core with mostly squared corners. this one does not fit unless i do some demo with a dremel. it just wont work. the part number i think i need is a motorcraft NCH5, which has the more rounded upper and lower portions. anyone else ever ran into this problem before?
EDIT, found i think the right one, but it's only online and there's no local stock. weird crossover year or what? everything comparable comes up at least at oreilly's with a murray 94582, which albeit the exact vertical and horizontal dimensions, does not have the slightly sloped top and bottom. the heater box housing just doesn't have the clearance to allow it to fit. i even tried trimming away a little bit of the plastic in front, but discovered that the rear of the housing needs to also accomidate for these tolerances. bummer. anyone dealt with this weird heater core before?
