fuel odor

i have been noticing a fuel odor coming from the filler area .after inspecting the area i seen the rubber filler hose has a tear in it where it goes into the tank . can i just undo the hose and replace it say with another rubber hose or is there more to it ? just wondering if it is like changing a radiator hose......thanks

2.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4.siphon the fuelfrom the tank if full into a suitable container. Remove as much as necessary

6.Loosen the clamps on the fuel filler pipe and vent hose as necessary and disconnect the filler pipe hose and vent hose from the tank.

Replace HOSE & clamps (if damaged or rusted)
