My heating system has always been a problem. Especially when I am in snow on the mountains in Western WA. ANy ideas?

- use a 185 deg thermostat

- flush your cooling system (especially the heater core) or replace the heater core with a new aftermarket core they are more efficient than the stock ones

- change the mechanical cooling fan to a thermostatically controlled electric fan.

- insulate your hard top

- add an auxillary heater

I'll get the year but I think the mid 80's or 90 toyotas pickups fit under the dash once the stock one is out. You will have to drill a couple holes to mount and the rest is just electrical and mounting/ directing the tubes for air flow. It works pro in my buddies 72. The fan blows 10 times more than a Bronco's so you will be very worm. Plus its cheap at a pull apart wrecking yard, like $40 complete with everything.
