Hey Broncojohnny, if you leave it unplugged, the internal valving is open as a passthrough, so, unless you have a stuck valve in there, unplugged (electrically) will be the same as bypassed without all the plumbing and you will have regular hydraulic brakes. You will have to deal with the warning light though.

I must have had a stuck valve. Got rid of it and pulled the light bulb. Now I'm braking for real. Thanks for the tip!
