I bought this bronco a couple of weeks ago. The main issue that it has is when the tranny is cold it doesn't want to work. If you let it idle for about ten minutes before you put it in gear its fine. Is this a sign that it needs to be rebuilt. there are 79,000 miles on it. Also looking for info on how to lock the rear axle and do something to the front. Makes good trail rig the way it is but after I found a hole that want to sallow it whole I need some improvements. Foot and a half of water inside and stuck in the hole for five hours before some one could pull ne out. In the process three other stuck while tring to get me out. Any information would be great.

That is a sign that the tranny fluid is seriously contaminated! I had a snowmoblie that had such bad oil in the chain case, had so much water in it, it froze solid! Sounds like the fluid might be crappy so it is too thick when cold. Flush it like a ...
