The 351W in my 86 is really tired. So instead of freshing it up, replacing it with a rebuilt, or dropping the change for a built engine, I am thinking of swapping it for the built 390 in my 76 truck (which is rusting down around me). I know that I will be swapping the tranny due to the difference in bell housings, so I plan to take the C6 from the truck too. Switching tails with the C6 in my 86 should let the t-case mate up. The major question I have is what to do about motor mounts? Does anyone know of a company that have mounts that will work?
