A while back, there was a thread from someone who had modified their aluminum intake manifold and cooling flow route to keep the 351w cool. Does anyone have good info. on exactly how to do that mod?
I've pretty much done everything I can in terms of a cooling system (other than adding a second remote radiator); and, it still get's too hot with the a/c on. This has been bugging me for years. The thing gets to 205-208 cruising on the highway in summer, with the air on. If you exit the freeway and find a stoplight, hello 220+.
Setup:
windsor
aluminum, dual plane Edelbrock intake
Speed demon 650
rv cam
stock heads
stock exhaust manifolds
a/c
Howe aluminum racing radiator (75% water - 25% water wetter)
7-blade puller fan (with shroud)
Dual 650 cfm auxiliary pusher fans
I was considering an engine swap when I read his post. Anyone know of this mod and how to do it (blow by blow including parts needed)??
