Im looking for parts to rebuild centering yoke (knuckle ball spring head) 1986 bronco rear drive shaft . Please excuse my termology if it is incorrect. I replaced all u-joints and I thought the shaft, ball, spring, knuckle - needle bearing in the center was okay. I was mistaken. I didnt mark parts when I disassembled and installing naw ujoints. Thanks for any help in advance.

Man, I'm sure willing to take a stab at it but I have to admit that I'm at a *complete* loss here for just what you're trying to say. I got that you have a prob with the rear driveshaft & replaced the U-joints but I just can't discypher the rest. Are you talking about the slip-yoke ? If you didn't mark what you were doing when replacing the U's then you could well have re-assembled it out of phase so now you have a viscious vibration. But I'm just not sure what you're trying to say here. Try it again & maybe we'll get a step or two further.

86ronc, if you need new parts for the double-cardan joint, most auto parts stores carry a repair kit. Also try Bronco graveyard. I moved your othere post before reading this one, so I'll delete that one, JSM84

86ronc, do me a favor & take a look at this link. I think JSM84 is right in understanding that what you're refering to, take a look at it and let us know if this is the piece you're talking about.

Ford Zilla, the front-drive crowd calls it a Constant Velocity joint, but according to Ford the doohickey on our driveshafts is called a double cardan joint & yes, it's a pricey little rascal to rebuild
