Can anyone tell me if they know where a junction block is located. I uploaded the diagram & circled the block.

I don't see it on the outer or inner firewall. Possibly located under fuse box? <_< Thought I would ask before removing the fuse box to save the extra work.

Thanks!

The standard set-up is two rubber plugs at the firewall. Your drawing shows one (A) & in lieu of the second is a "junction block.

This set-up was used for the 55amp alternator.

If you have two plugs at the firewall.., there will be no "junction block" (90% sure)

Hey Bully Bob.

I just checked behind the fuse box. Not there. And yes there is two connectors side by side coming out of the fire wall. So I have to agree with you.

The problem I am running into is the ammeter needle is erratic most of the time when bronco is running at idle. When I rev the engine the need is not erratic. But the charging system is barely charging. I even checked the charging system at the battery with a meter. Has new battery, voltage regulator ,alternator, starter solenoid & starter. I also replaced all connectors that were in the connector that plugs into the voltage regulator as they were corroded. Cleaned up connectors at the fire wall connection. Cleaned up body were voltage regulator bolts to for a better ground.

The only other items in question would be the ignition switch and headlight switch as they are in the charging circuit? <_< .

Any thoughts on your half would be great!

I think usually when a gauge acts erratically, its the voltage regulator. Is the alternator belt tight?

"the ammeter needle is erratic most of the time when bronco is running at idle."

This prob. is common with EB's & that era Fords in general.

The good news is.., it doesn't hurt anything that I'm aware of. (mine does it as well)

-----There is a cure for it as I recall., & I think it was someone on this board that posted it.

"But the charging system is barely charging"

Everything to spec.., you should get arouond 13.5 to 14 at the bat. with eng. running.
