I have a 71. It has three on the tree. Recently the first and reverse shifter has come undone. I have not lost any of the pieces luckly, They came apart in the shop. What i am trying to find is what the pieces actualy are called so i can get new ones or try to find some used ones. I will discribe best i can.
on the steering colum inside the engin carpment there are two shifters that work 1 and r and 2 and 3 there is a linkage bar that runs from them to the trans. The bar has come off the 1 and r shifter. on this peace that has come apart there is some kind of ruber washer or bushing to that effect. I cant find out exactly what im looking for which makes getting new one hard. I could easly find these pieces in a salvage yard but I would rather get them new since they need to be replaced.
