i have an 89 bronco with a 302 in it. the trucks been driving fine since i bought it last week now all of a sudden it dies suddenly. it will run about a minute and the shut off as if you turn the key off. it will start back up immediately i dont have to wait for it to cool off or anything. i drove across town and it was fine then i was almost home and this started. has anyone ever had this problem before? any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had something kinda like that, I'd start my truck and just as it started to warm up it'd want to stall, then once it did warm up it'd run fine. Ended up being dirty injectors, I probably picked up some gasoline that had some crap in it. I changed the injectors out to bosh high performance injectors and the truck never ran the same again, it ran much better.

yo!

Do you have a CEL lit?

Self Test & Connector Location & pics, Bronco & Ford WITH DIAGRAMS! Source: by Ryan M (Fireguy50) at fordfuelinjection.com

If so, check for Trouble Codes and post them here or look through my site in ELECTRICAL -> Electronic Engine Control (EEC) -> EEC-IV section for "DTCs 2 digits & some Possible Causes; MANY CODES! "

I may be away on bus. for a few days, so take time and do the self test; look for tests and GL!

thanks, i actually found that same website last night but i havent had time to try it. i was driving it around today and it drove alright, i didnt have any problems with it dying at all for some reason. i'm just waiting on it to happen again though. as soon as the CEL comes back on i'll probably have auto zone put their machine on it and get the codes that way and i'll post them then. anyway thanks for the information once again.
