Transfer Case

Occasionally my '74 Bronco will pop out of gear when I am in 2-wheel high. This seems to happen when I go over an undulation in the road, not a bad bump by any means. What do you guys think is wrong? Main gear in the transfer case worn? It is a modified 302 with a floor shift 3-speed. Can a transmission shop rebuild the transfer case or am I better off getting a rebuild one from Jeff's or Tom's?
