transfer case/transmission

can someone explain to me the options on transfer cases, im currently running a 302 " worked " with an NP 435. iv rebuilt the engine dome the body work myself i can pretty much figure any of it out, but I dont know anythng about transfer cases or transmissions.

can someone tell me what type of shifter I have T style or J style and what the pro's and cons are. I want to add a twinn stick and would liek some suggestions. I have a 71 bronco with a 77 302,Np 435 and a dana 20 I think.

You probably have a Dana 20 with a T shifter. the difference in them is the shift pattern and **** look at the attached pics.

whats the diffrence between the T shifter and the J shifter, my 71 I guess is a T shifter, and my 74 is the J shifter. which is better?

From what I have read on other sites, one is no better than the other. They both have problems of sticking and jumping out of gear, I would guess it's only a personal preference. As far as the twin stick goes, I have read very good things about them on rock crawling sites.
