I have my engine and my C-6 trans in the truck already, does anyone have any tips on getting the transfer case in? I cant seem to get it lined up because it wants to lean to one size.

I use a floor jack, with a chain tied around the t-case, to help lift the t-case up to the tranny. A tranny jack works even better, since the t-case is less likely to slide off.

Yeah I just took a NP205 out of a 78 bronco and we did it with three people, if that is the tcase you are doing its a bear to manuaver but a floor jack and a couple buddys is your best bet if you don't have axcess to a trans jack you can have two people under the truck with the jack to get it up and line it up and someone in the cab working through the axcess panel to pull it forward and start some bolts.

After using a reular floor jack for the better part of several days, I removed the seat and tranny floor panel cover. I stuck the cherry picker in the door, and suspended the transfer case from above. Bolted right up. The real way to do it would be to use a tranny jack, as it allows you to rotate the transfer case to align properly. If you use a floor jack (as you've discovered) the flat spot on the bottom of the case puts the ccase at a 45 degree angle to where it needs to be........not a good thing...
