I've got a 96 with the 351 but no tow package - thus no tranny cooler. I'm definitely not a transmission mechanic, but I've heard that a cooler will extend the life of the transmission by quite a bit. If that's true, are there any aftermarket products anyone would recommend? How hard to install?

A tranny cooler is one of the best things I did for my truck. I had the immediate effect of lowering the engine temperature.

Good luck,

:)>-
