Hello, thinking of putting a 6in lift in my 89 Bronco. What I want to know is what size tire should I be able to run with out cutting finders?

Also is a Rough Country Lift Good?

i think the biggest you can go is like 36" tires, and i have herd some bad things about rough country so not realy sure bout that one, im saving up to get a 6 inch lift for my 95 and the best kit i thiink i found was the skyjacker class 2 kit

There's a sticke post at the beginning of this forum on the tire size vs lift height, but 35/36 inch tires are about right for a 6" lift. I agree the Skyjacker Class II 6" kit is a good one, had that on the 84 Bronco for a few years. I've also installed a few Rough Counrty kits, both 4 and 6 inch, on some Broncos. The only real problem I've seen or heard of has been a problem with the holes on the driver's-side axle pivot drop bracket not lining up with the factory holes in the crossmember. I would suggest searching through previous posts and see what others have to say on their lift kits. Tkae your time and look around for a good deal, too, as the top-option kits can run $1800-$2000. The basic 6" kits start out around $550-$650, JSM84
