I am rebuilding my 1974 Bronco from the ground up and have some questions about options to pursue.

Brakes - I am going to go with 4 wheel disc - where, in your experience, is the best place to look for complete kits. Any options that I should avoid or any 'must haves' when it comes to 4 wheel disc brake systems.

Suspension - I want to do a 2 1/2" lift. Planning on running 33's. Best place to get a new suspension, things to avoid or 'must haves'?

This is my first rebuild like this, so I want to make the most informed decisions now so that I don't miss something obvious or wish I had done something different and then regret it later. I really appreciate the help.

I have completed the front and rear axles, frame is being finished as we speak.

Brakes & Suspension are my next projects in this slow process...

Thanks!

BRAKES...

Look four posts below yours., "POUR BRAKES"

All the major EB suppliers now have pretty much the same suspension quality.

Progressive coils front --- progressive 11 pack leafs rear.

They come with all new bushings., shock set-ups, etc.

You'll want to insure the track bar & drag link are parallel.

The same for discs...they're all pretty much "state-of-the-art" now at the major EB stores.

"...any 'must haves' when it comes to 4 wheel disc brake systems."

Vac. boost or Hydro boost.

Proper proportioning valve.

You dont need 4 wheel discs for 33s unless you have a huge wallet. Get discs for the front and put on powerbrakes and a proper proportioning valve all stores sell them.

I stopped fine with 38s on the same setup. But if you have the cash make sure you get a rear disc set up with a great Safty/e brakes. Nothing worse then being stuck and not being able too make sure the rig will stay put. Up or down hill.
