surprising MPG?

This past weekend i went camping, with 3 of us equaling around 500 lbs. of people, a full size 31x10.50 spare tire, all my camping gear (50 lbs.) and a (30 lbs.) cooler.

I did the math and it came out that we were averaging 12MPG, keep in mind i have a well built motor(stats in my sig.)

Is it just me or does it seem like i got good mileage? , my speeds ranged from 35-75, the whole way, changing quite often. I burned about 20 gallons, and went 260 miles, 200 on the freeway.

that's why i love my 300 in my bronco

i get 10 city running like crap and 13 highway running like crap

i can't wait to start fixing the stuff to get it tuned right.

I also have an 86 F150 with the 300 4speed driving good keeping speeds under 60mph i get 19-21 mpg
