So i've finally got the truck down to the point where i'm just working on small anoying things that arent big issues but would be nice if they were fixed. One thing that kinda gets on my nerves is the gas pedal. its so stiff that its like you either have to stand on it or let go completly... there's no feathering the pedal or half way point. Is this the cable itself siezing up or is it just a common bronco issue (my 88 did the same thing)

Check your linkage at the injector/carb and if it moves freely by hand then its likely the cable or the linkage at the pedal.

Good suggestion about the linkage. Just be sure to disconnect from the linkage at the throttle plate. If the pedal is stiff then, check to make sure there is nothing to bind it under the dash. If that looks OK, you can disconnect it from the pedal and try moving it by hand, it is probably corroded inside from moisture.

Good luck,

:)>-
