steering wheel in the way of speedometer???

ok so this kinda just popped into my head but ok lets say u wanna get a new steering wheel cuz the original one is frikkin HUGE! so u buy one from james duff, etc. wouldn't the steering wheel be in the way of the gauges? it seems like the steering wheel would be right there in the way. what do you think?

NO....not a problem I have stock gage cluster, tack & vac. gage on column... & hard-line oil press. at right of column. All in good view. I have the Grant 3 spoke signature wheel.

awesome i wasn't sure about it but thanks for the help...another question though ok my truck doesnt have power steering and people are telling me i want to keep my huge steering wheel until i get power steering. so does anyone know wether it would be horribly hard to turn a smaller steering wheel with out power steering??? thanks for the help

A buddy of mine had a 72 a few years ago running 36x12.50's no power steering and a small grant wheel....not bad when you're rolling....but if you miss your parking space or if youre off road....you better have a big steering wheel, or you'll have big biceps before long
