Has anyone replaced the rear spring eye bushings before. i just bought energy suspension poly bushings. I already got the old bushings out but there is still a thin metal sleeve inside the spring eye and i am not sure if i need to take those out or not.

As I recall..., on one end, there's an outer sleeve that remains. The bushings come with an inner sleeve the bolt slips through.

The other end is a complete circle... & does not req. that outer sleeve.

Seems there was a coating in the kit to prevent sqeaking....

And, don't over tighten as you can limit the travel doing so.

ok thanks. One more question are the bushings supposed to fit really tight beacause the width of the bushings is the same width as the outter sleeve

Mine, (bushings) on the shackle itself, & spring ends have a "lip" or collar that's approx. 1/4" thick. These are what came with the new 11 pac. lift springs. (in other words the bushing looks like a "tophat" at a side-view)

My orig. springs look more like what you're describing. the center & outer sleeves extend out ea. side a bit.

If you could take some pics....that would help.
